Founded in Northwest Arkansas by Joseph S. “Joey” Stevens, Key Concepts was created from decades of experience spanning architecture, construction, development, and investment. What began as a passion for drafting and design evolved into a company dedicated to creating homes, communities, and commercial spaces that are both timeless and functional.


Today, Key Concepts continues to serve clients who value craftsmanship, innovation, and a highly personalized building experience. Whether developing luxury residences, multifamily communities, or commercial projects, our focus remains the same — delivering spaces that inspire, perform, and endure for generations.

JOSEPH S. STEVENS

Founder & CEO

Joseph S. “Joey” Stevens is the founder and owner of Key Concepts LLC and brings more than 25 years of experience in residential and commercial design, construction, and development.

Beginning his career in architecture and drafting, Joey developed a strong foundation in design, structure, and functionality before expanding into construction management and large-scale development. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, holds a Commercial Contractor’s License through the Arkansas Contractors Licensing Board, and has led projects ranging from luxury custom homes and multifamily developments to commercial properties and residential communities.

Known for his hands-on leadership and attention to detail, Joey has built a reputation for delivering projects that combine thoughtful planning with exceptional execution. His accomplishments include award-winning homes in the Northwest Arkansas Parade of Homes, multifamily developments, and notable communities including The Hollows at Beaver Lake.

A decorated U.S. Army veteran and active member of the Northwest Arkansas Home Builders Association and the American Institute of Architects, Joey continues to lead Key Concepts with a commitment to integrity, innovation, and excellence in every project.
