Founded in Northwest Arkansas by Joseph S. Stevens, Key Concepts was shaped by decades of work across architecture, construction, development, and investment. What began as a passion for drafting and design grew into a company focused on creating homes, communities, and commercial spaces with purpose, permanence, and long-term value.
Today, Key Concepts serves clients who are not simply building for today. They are creating something meaningful for the years ahead. JOSEPH S. STEVENS
CEO
Joseph S. Stevens is the founder and owner of Key Concepts LLC, with more than 25 years of work in residential and commercial design, construction, and development.
Joseph began his career in architecture and drafting, building a strong technical foundation in design, structure, and functionality before moving into construction management and large-scale development. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, holds a Commercial Contractor's License through the Arkansas Contractors Licensing Board, and has led a wide range of projects, including luxury custom homes, multifamily developments, commercial properties, and residential communities.
His background gives Key Concepts a grounded, informed approach to every project. From early planning to final delivery, Joey brings practical knowledge, direct leadership, and a clear understanding of what it takes to move complex projects forward. His work includes award-winning homes in the Northwest Arkansas Parade of Homes, multifamily developments, and notable communities such as The Hollows at Beaver Lake.
A decorated U.S. Army veteran and active member of the Northwest Arkansas Home Builders Association and the American Institute of Architects, Joey leads Key Concepts with discipline, accountability, and a proven record of creating lasting spaces across Northwest Arkansas.
